Kgalagadi Park & Augrabies Tour

DAY 1
Upington - Kgalagadi Trans Frontier Park
Talana Tours depart from Upington to
the largest camp in Kgalagadi Trans Frontier Park, Twee Rivieren. After a
short rest we go on our first game drive in this 37 000 square km park.
Game such as, gemsbok, springbok, blue wildebeest, and red hartebeest are
seen very often. The Park is well known for good sightings of lion and
cheetah and is a bird watcher's paradise with more than 20 larger raptor
species. Optional night drive @ R 85 – 00 per person.

DAY 2 Kgalagadi Trans Frontier Park
Game drive to Nossob. Optional night drive @ R 85 – 00 per
person.

DAY 3 Kgalagadi
- Molopo
Game drive until late afternoon. Depart to Molopo
Kalahari Lodge 60 Km south of Twee Rivieren. The Molopo Lodge is situated
on the banks of the dry Molopo River and is a real oasis in the
desert.
Overnight: Molopo Lodge

DAY 4
Molopo - Augrabies
Depart from Molopo Lodge to Augrabies Falls
National Park via Upington. En route we visit Tierberg Nature Reserve in
Keimoes from where one has a beautiful view of the lush green Orange River
Valley.
Visit the falls, which becomes the sixth largest waterfall in
the world when the Orange River is in flood. Afternoon sightseeing and
game drive to awesome viewpoints such as Ararat and
Oranjekom.

DAY 5
Augrabies - Upington
Optional 2 – 3 hour River Rafting at R 195 –
00 per person. Depart to Upington. En route visit the Persian Water Wheels
at Kakamas. From Kakamas we drive on the scenic gravel road passing
through a large quiver tree forest, south of the Orange River between
Kakamas and Keimoes. Our next stop is at the largest inhabited inland
island in South Africa, Kanoneiland. En route we do some wine tasting at
the second largest cooperative wine cellar in the world, the Orange River
Wine Cellar.
Arrive in Upington during the afternoon. End of
tour.
